  • 4-5 - cucumber
  • 1 tsp - saunf (fennel seeds)
  • 2 - red dry chillies
  • 1 tsp - cumin (jeera) seeds
  • 2 - bay leaf (tejpatha)
  • 1/2 tsp - cumin (kala Jeera)
  • 1/2 tsp - coriander (dhania powder)
  • 1 tsp - sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp - lime juice
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tsp - oil

How to Make Khatti Meethi Cucumber Sabzi

  • Peel the skin of the cucumbers and chop into average pieces either round or long.
  • Do not wash them.
  • Heat oil in a pan, once the oil is hot switch the gas off.
  • Add saunf, red chillies, jeera, tej patta and kala jeera.
  • Switch on the gas once again, now add the cucumber and keep on low flame.
  • Cover with a lid.
  • Keep putting a few drops of water over the lid to prevent the contents inside the pan from getting charred.
  • After the cucumber is cooked, add dhania powder, red chilli powder and stir.
  • Finally add sugar and lime juice.
  • The khatti meethi lipsmacking dish is ready.
