  • 3 cups milk
  • 125 gms. sugar
  • 1 tsp. margarine
  • 1 tsp. cardamom powder
  • 1 tsp. saffron
  • 125 gms. khoya
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 small loaf bread
  • Silver foil

How to Make Khoya Bread (Baked)

  • Soak the khoya in some cold milk. Slice the bread and soak it in water.
  • Squeeze out water from bread.
  • Heat milk with sugar, add mava and stir till it dissolves.
  • Put in bread, saffron and cardamom.
  • Cook for a little while till slightly thick.
  • Add margarine and remove from fire.
  • When slightly cool, beat in the eggs.
  • Bake in a greased dish, in a moderate oven at 325 degrees F for half an hour.
  • Serve hot or cold, with silver foil on top.
