  • 3 cups - gram flour
  • 1/2 cup - semolina (rava)
  • 1/2 cup - milk
  • 2 cups - sugar, powdered
  • 1 cup - ghee
  • 1 tsp - cardamom powder
  • 2 drops - kewra or rose essence (optional)

How to Make Kid Friendly Besan ke Ladoo

  • Warm ghee in a heavy pan.
  • Add flour, rava and stir fry on a low flame, stirring continuously with a spatula.
  • This step takes time, so do not roast on high flame as the end result will not be good.
  • When the flour is golden brown and aroma exudes, take off fire.
  • Add milk and blend in a mixie for a few seconds, till well mixed.
  • Cool the mixture. Add sugar, cardamom, essence and mix well.
  • Shape into laddoos of desired shape.
  • Cool completely, before storing in airtight container.
