  • 1/2 cup - Kodo millet
  • 3 tbsp - Yellow moong dal
  • 3 cups - Milk
  • 1.5 cups - Rock candy sugar
  • 1/2 tsp - Cardamom powder
  • A few cashew nuts
  • A few Raisins
  • Ghee (as needed)

How to Make Kodo Millet and Rock Candy Sugar Pongal

  • Wash the kodo millet and moong dal and place in a pressure cooker.
  • Add the milk and rock candy sugar, and pressure cook for 3 whistles.
  • Once the steam is released, add the cardamom powder and simmer.
  • Finally fry the cashew nuts and raisins in enough ghee and add them to the cooked sweet pongal.
  • Stir once.
  • Serve warm.
