Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg - kovaikaai (tindora)
  • 1 cup - finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup - finely chopped tomato
  • 1 tsp - finely chopped garlic
  • 1 tbsp - finely chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 tsp - chilli powder
  • A pinch of asafoetida
  • A pinch of turmeric
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp - oil

How to Make Kovakaai (Ivy Gourd) Curry

  • Heat oil in a kadai.
  • Add the onion and saute for 2 minutes.
  • Add the garlic and tomatoes and cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Chop the ivy gourd into thin long slices and add it.
  • Now add all the masala and garnish with coriander leaves.
