  • 4 pieces - bean curd -
  • 1 - onion
  • 1 small bunch - mint leaves
  • 5 cloves - garlic
  • 1 tbsp - soya sauce
  • 1 tbsp - Thai chilli powder
  • 3 - fresh red chillies
  • oil for frying
  • salt to taste.

How to Make Lap (Thai Dish)

  • Cut chillies diagonally and slice the onions into thin pieces.
  • Wash the bean curd and mash it.
  • Crush the garlic. Remove the stem of the mint leaves after washing them.
  • Heat oil in a pan and fry the garlic till a fragrance emerges.
  • Add onions and bean curd to it and fry for three minutes.
  • Then add soya sauce, chilli powder and salt to the mixture and fry for an additional five minutes.
  • Add some mint leaves towards the end. Serve it hot with plain rice.
