Ingredients

  • 1 - medium sized lauki (green gourd)
  • 2 - green chillies
  • 1 - medium sized onion (optional)
  • 1 - bunch of coriander leaves
  • 3 cups - wheat flour
  • 1/4 tsp - cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tsp - turmeric
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil to deep fry

How to Make Lauki Ki Poori

  • Wash and grate the lauki and onion.
  • Cut the green chillies and coriander into very small pieces.
  • Mix the flour, grated lauki and onion, green chillies, coriander and all the other spices.
  • Make stiff dough with just enough water.
  • Keep in refrigerator for 15 minutes.
  • Heat oil in a karahi and keep it on a medium flame.
  • Make small balls from the dough and roll.
  • Once, oil is heated enough, deep fry till they are golden in color.
