Ingredients

  • 12 - 15 - lemons
  • 25 g- tamarind
  • 5 - 6 -green chillies
  • 1/2 tsp - fenugreek seeds (methi seeds)
  • 1- piece of jaggery
  • 1 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp - chilli powder
  • Salt
  • Curry leaves

How to Make Lemon Curry

  • Soak tamarind in water.
  • Cut lemon into small pieces.
  • Cut green chillies.
  • Add the tamarind water, turmeric powder, chilli powder and salt to the cut pieces and boil till the lemon is cooked.
  • Add the jaggery piece to the boiling mixture.
  • Heat the methi seeds and powder it.
  • Add this powder to the curry.
  • Add curry leaves and boil it well and then switch off the stove.
  • Take a small vessel or pan, add oil.
  • When the oil is hot, add mustard seeds.
  • Once it splutters, add this to the curry.
  • You can use this curry with rice / chapatti / dosa.
