  • 2 cups - cooked rice
  • 1 tsp - mustard seeds
  • 2 - dried red chillies
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 1/2 cup - cashew nuts (or ground nuts)
  • 2 tbsp - oil
  • 5-6 - curry leaves
  • 1/4 cup - fresh lime/lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 tbsp - chopped coriander leaves

How to Make Lemon Flavoured Rice

  • Heat oil in a deep pan, add mustard, red chillies and curry leaves, and saute till the mustard starts spluttering.
  • Add turmeric and cashew nuts or ground nuts and fry for a few seconds.
  • Now, mix in the cooked rice, lemon/lime juice, salt and mix well.
  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
