Ingredients

  • 1 cup - lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp - jaggery
  • For masala:
  • 3 to 4 - small pieces of coconut
  • 4 to 5 - red chillies
  • 1 tbsp - channa dal
  • 1 tsp - urad dal
  • 1 tsp - jeera
  • 1/4 tsp - fenugreek seeds

How to Make Lemon Goju

  • Roast the masala ingredients light brown.
  • Grind the masala ingredients with little water and make a smooth paste.
  • Heat oil in a kadai, add mustard seeds and curry leaves.
  • Add ground paste and simmer for 5-8 minutes.
  • Add salt, lemon juice and jaggery.
  • Add little water and stir it well.
  • Simmer for 10-12 minutes until it thickens.
  • The tangy goju can be served with rice, chapatti or with pickle.
