Ingredients

  • 400 gms - boneless chicken breasts, skinned and cut into pieces
  • 2 tsp - garam masala
  • 4 tsp - red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1 inch piece ginger, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp - cumin powder
  • 1 tsp - cinnamon powder
  • 1 tbsp - oil
  • 1 cup - onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup - curd (dahi)
  • 3/4 cup - tomato paste
  • 5 cups - potatoes, cut into cubes
  • 4 cups - water
  • 2/3 cup - chopped tomato

How to Make Low calorie classic chicken curry

  • Heat oil, and then saute the onion, ginger and garlic for a few minutes.
  • Add all the dry spices, and fry some more.
  • Add chicken and let it cook for about 10 minutes or so. Keep stirring.
  • Whisk the curd and tomato paste in a bowl.
  • Add the mixture to the chicken, and then add the potatoes and water.
  • Bring to a boil and cover.
  • Reduce heat and simmer for 15 mins.
  • Stir occasionally.
  • Serve with steamed rice.
