  • 1/2 cup - Maida/All-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup - Wheat flour (atta)
  • 1/2 tbsp - Pepper powder
  • 1 tbsp - Cumin seeds
  • A pinch - Baking soda
  • Salt - to taste
  • 1/2 tsp - Sugar
  • 3 tbsp - Oil
  • Milk - to knead to a stiff dough (about 1/4 a cup)

How to Make Low Fat Cumin Cookies

  • In a bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, sugar, salt and oil.
  • Add the milk and knead to a stiff dough, till it's not sticky.
  • Roll the dough to about 2 mms in thickness.
  • Using a cookie cutter, cut into round shapes.
  • Now bring together the remaining scrapings, roll out again and repeat the process till the entire dough gets over.
  • Pre-heat the oven at 180 degrees C for 10 minutes.
  • Grease the baking tray, arrange the cookies and place the tray in the centre of the pre-heated oven and bake for 20 minutes.
  • Remove the cookies from the oven, allow it to cool and then store them in air tight containers.
