  • 2 cups - semolina
  • 1/2 cup - water
  • 1 -fresh grated coconut
  • 1.5 cups - powdered sugar
  • 125 gm - khava
  • 1/2 cup + 2 tbsp - ghee
  • 8 - powdered cardamoms

How to Make Luscious Rava Ladoos

  • In a skillet, saute rava in a little ghee till it is golden brown.
  • Add powdered cardamom.
  • Meanwhile, in a large, heavy bottomed pan, boil sugar and water on a low flame to make a one strand syrup.
  • While the syrup boils add the grated coconut to it.
  • Remove from stove and add the rava and khava into it and mix.
  • Let it soak, covered for 1/2 an hour.
  • Shape the rava-sugar mixture into ladoos, if needed add milk to soften it.
  • Then shape the rava into a smooth balls using palms to shape and roll.
