Ingredients

  • 4 slices bread, toasted & buttered
  • 1/2 cup - macaroni
  • 2 tsp - tomato ketchup or 2 tbsp - tomato sauce
  • 3/4 cup - fresh tomato puree
  • 2 flakes garlic - chopped and crushed
  • 1/4 cup - grated cheese
  • pepper to taste
  • salt to taste
  • For Garnishing:
  • few spring onion leaves, cut into fine rings

How to Make Macaroni Mint Sandwich

  • Cook the macaroni in boiling water. Drain.
  • Now cook the tomato puree and garlic in a small pot to a thick gravy consistency.
  • Remove from fire. Add tomato sauce, salt and pepper and mix.
  • Add macaroni, mint chutney and mix gently.
  • Spread the macaroni mixture on the buttered toast.
  • Sprinkle finely grated cheese on top.
  • Garnish with spring onions.
  • Cut into two pieces and serve as open sandwiches.
