Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp - oil
  • 1 - onion
  • 3 cloves - garlic
  • 1 inch - ginger
  • 1.5 tsp - cumin
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric
  • 2 tsp - chilli powder
  • 2 - tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup - coconut milk
  • 1 tsp - salt
  • 15 - peeled shrimps
  • 2 sprigs - coriander
  • 2 tbsp - lemon juice

How to Make Madrasi Shrimp Curry

  • Heat oil and saute onion.
  • Add garlic, ginger, cumin, turmeric and chilli powder and fry for 2 minutes.
  • Add tomatoes, coconut milk and salt and boil.
  • Simmer uncovered for 10 minutes.
  • Now add the shrimp and cilantro and cook covered for 5 minutes.
  • Add lemon juice and serve.
