Ingredients

  • 250 g: long grained rice
  • 2 - tomatoes, pureed
  • 10 g - ginger
  • 4 - garlic cloves
  • 4 - black peppercorns
  • 2 - cloves
  • 100 g - onions
  • 8 tsp - ghee
  • salt to taste

How to Make Maharaja Pulav

  • Cut onion, garlic, ginger into small pieces.
  • Heat ghee in a pressure cooker on medium flame, add onion and fry it for 5 mins until it turns golden brown.
  • Then add garlic, ginger, black pepper, cloves, and salt.
  • After 2 mins add tomato puree. Then add rice and stir - fry it for 2 mins.
  • Add sufficient water to it and pressure cook it till done.
