Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp - peanuts
  • 1 - big onion, chopped
  • 1 tbsp - chopped coriander leaves or a mix of mint and coriander
  • 1/2 tsp - thick tamarind paste
  • 1/2 tsp - chopped ginger
  • 1 tsp - red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp -cumin seed powder
  • 1/2 tsp - thick jaggery, optional
  • 1/2 tsp - salt
  • For seasoning:
  • 2 tsp - oil
  • 1 tsp - mustard seeds
  • 1 pinch - hing
  • 2 pinches - turmeric powder

How to Make Maharashtrian style Kandyachi chutney

  • Transfer all the ingredients into a small mixer bowl and grind to a smooth paste with very little water.
  • For seasoning:
  • Heat oil and add mustard seeds, when they crackle, add hing and turmeric powder.
  • Pour this seasoning over ground paste and mix well.
