How to Make Mallithas

  • Mix flour with a little salted water, should be like chapatti dough.
  • Roll out using flour on a board like you would to make a chapatti.
  • Then using a small saucer or tiffin cover, just cut out the rounds, keep on a tray.
  • Now in a broad mouth vessel filled with a little more than 1/2 with water, allow to boil.
  • Once it starts to boil, drop 4 or 5 mallithas into the bubbling water.
  • When cooked, the mallithas will come to the top.
  • Remove with a flat spoon, drain well, place on a greased plate.
  • Use scraped coconut & sugar to eat.
