Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup - toor dal
  • 1 - mango (green), cut into pieces
  • 1 pinch hing
  • 1/2 tsp - red chilli powder
  • 1 - twig curry leaf
  • 1/2 tsp - mustard, jeera
  • For Seasoning: 1 tbsp - oil
  • 1 - green chilli
  • 1 pinch - haldi
  • salt to taste

How to Make Mango Dal

  • Pressure cook dal, mango, haldi, hing. Let it cool.
  • Take oil in a kadai, add mustard, let it splutter and then add jeera, chilli powder and curry leaves.
  • Add dal and salt and let it boil for 3 minutes.
  • For extra spice, you may add little rasam powder.
  • Serve hot with rice.
