Ingredients

  • 8 small raw mangoes
  • 2 tbsp - panchphoron (a mixture of anise seeds, fenugreek, mustard and cumin seeds and shahjeera)
  • 50g - whole green chillies
  • 3 tbsp - turmeric powder
  • 2 tbsp - chilli powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Mustard oil

How to Make Mango Pickle with Indian Spices

  • Slice the mangoes into 4 pieces.
  • Steam for 10 mins. and then dry in the sun for 1 day.
  • Pound coarsely the panchphoron.
  • Mix panchphoron with mangoes along with salt, turmeric and chilli powder and put in a bottle.
  • Add chillies and enough oil to cover the mangoes.
  • Set in the sun for 1 week.
