  • 4-5- ripe (sweet and sour mangoes with seeds)
  • 2 cups - water
  • 1/2 cup-jaggery
  • salt
  • 1/4 tsp-each haldi, red mirch powder
  • 1 tsp - lemon Juice (if mangoes are too sweet)
  • For tadka
  • cumin seeds
  • hing powder (optional)

How to Make Mango Seed Subji

  • Extract mango juice from the mangoes and keep aside. Do not throw the mango seeds but keep them aside with all juice in it.
  • In a pan, mix mango seeds and a little bit of mango juice and water but do not make the mixture too thin.
  • Add salt, haldi and mirch powder
  • Heat the mixture on medium heat until the masala mixes well and the mixture becomes a little thick.
  • Heat oil, add cumin seeds and hing powder, when the seed splutters, pour tadka to the sabji and heat the sabji on low flame for 10 minutes.
  • At the end, add chopped coriander and enjoy mango seed subji with chapattis.
