Ingredients

  • 6 slices - bread
  • 6 tbsp - grated coconut
  • 2 tbsp - puffed channa dal
  • 1.5 tsp - coriander seeds
  • 1 tbsp - poppy seeds
  • 5 - red chillies
  • A little tamarind
  • 2 tbsp - coriander leaves
  • 4 - small onions
  • 3 - garlic pods
  • Salt to taste
  • Ghee/oil for frying

How to Make Masala Bread

  • Grind all the masala ingredients to a fine paste.
  • Smear the paste on sliced bread (both sides) and shallow fry in a little ghee or oil till brown.
