Ingredients

  • 1 cup - wheat grains
  • 1 tsp - red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 1 - lemon juice
  • 1 - green chilli, slit
  • 4 to 5 - curry leaves
  • 1 tbsp - oil
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Masala Gungri

  • Wash and soak wheat grains for 2 hours.
  • Pressure cook the wheat grains, approx 5-6 whistles.
  • Grains should be well-cooked.
  • Drain the excess water from the cooked grains.
  • Heat oil and add green chilli and curry leaves.
  • Add the wheat grains.
  • Add remaining masalas.
  • Cook for 5 to 7 minutes.
  • Sprinkle lemon juice over it and mix it well.
  • Serve hot with chips or crackers.
