  • 4 cups - puffed rice (murmure)
  • 1/2 tsp - oil
  • 1/5 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 2-3 pinches asafoetida powder
  • 2 green chillies, chopped
  • 1 stalk curry leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 pinch citric acid powdered

How to Make Masala Murmure

  • Heat oil in a pan, large enough to contain murmure.
  • Add chillies, curry leaves, turmeric, asafoetida, and stir.
  • Add murmure, sprinkle citric acid and stir well.
  • Take off fire, if required, to avoid burning at the bottom.
  • Toss very well till flavours blend and murmure cools.
  • Cool completely before storing in airtight container.
  • Serve as an anytime snack, or even as munchies in transit.
