Masala Papad is a light, tangy snack that is prepared instantly. This savoury snack is usually seen in Punjabi Dhabas, street food stalls and finds a place as a delicious chaat in North Indian special occasions.  

The mix of simple ingredients - onion, amchur powder/lemon juice, chilli powder and coriander is spread on every fried papad. The amchur powder/lemon juice and chilli powder adds the needed sour and spicy taste.

Ingredients

  • 6 papads
  • 6 tbsp. onions, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp. finely chopped coriander
  • ½ tsp. amchur powder or lemon juice
  • ½ tsp. chilli powder
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Masala Papad

  • Fry papads in hot oil.
  • Mix onions, corainder, lemon juice and chilli powder.
  • Just before serving, spread a little of this mixture on each papad.
