Ingredients

  • 2 cups peanuts shelled
  • 1/4 cup rice flour
  • 1 tbsp. plain flour
  • 2-3 pinches soda bicarb
  • 1 tsp. red chilli powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp. chaat masala (optional)
  • Oil to deep fry

How to Make Masala Peanuts

  • Make a very thick paste of all ingredients, except nuts and oil, using cold water. Now toss in peanuts and mix till they are evenly coated.
  • Heat oil in a frying pan, till smoky.
  • Reduce heat, drop in coated nuts one by one quickly. Fry till crisp.
  • Drain, cool and serve with tea, drinks, or whenever you feel the urge to munch something.
