  • Boiled Rice (idli rice) - 2 cups
  • Mustard seeds 1tsp
  • Urad dal 1tsp
  • Channa dal 1tsp
  • Onion 2
  • Tomato 4
  • Curry leaves little
  • Red Chilli 2
  • Oil 3tsp
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Masala Sevai

  • Soak rice for 3 hrs. Grind rice nicely with salt.
  • Steam in idli plate for 20 minutes. Press each idli in sev mould.
  • Pour oil in a pan. Add the mustard seeds. When it starts crackling, add the red chilli, dals & curry leaves. Fry the onion & tomato.
  • Add the sevai. Mix thoroughly.
