Ingredients

  • Ambe Mohar rice - 1 Kg
  • Green Peas - 1/4 kg
  • Turmeric - 1 tsp
  • Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  • Salt
  • Curry leaves - 1 sprig
  • Oil
  • For masala powder:
  • Roast in little oil and dry grind -
  • Coriander seeds - 1 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds - 1 tbsp
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tbsp
  • Cloves - 5-6
  • Cinnamon - 5-6 pieces

How to Make Masale Bhath

  • Heat oil in pressure cooker.
  • Add curry leaves, turmeric powder, mustard seeds and fry well.
  • Add green peas. Then add cleaned and washed rice.
  • Add water in the proportion 1:2.
  • Put the ground powder. Add salt and mix well.
  • Close the cooker and keep for 2 whistles.
  • Heat ghee in a pan and fry some cashew nuts / plums.
  • Garnish the rice with cashewnuts/plums, little coconut and coriander leaves. Serve hot.
