Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg - chicken (cut into pieces and washed)
  • 1 spoon - curd
  • Curry leaves/coriander leaves
  • For masala:
  • 2 - big onions
  • 10 -12 cloves - garlic
  • Ginger - a big piece
  • 1 cup - coconut
  • 2-3 - cloves
  • 2-3 - cinnamon
  • 20 - pepper
  • 2 spoon - red chilli powder
  • 2 spoon - coriander
  • Turmeric powder
  • Salt as per taste

How to Make Masaledar Chicken Curry

  • Fry all the above ingredients for masala till light golden brown.
  • After it is cooled grind in mixer with water.
  • First mix chicken with salt and turmeric and curd and keep for an hour.
  • After an hour keep a pan on gas, put oil and fry the ground masala for 2 mins.
  • Add the chicken to the masala and fry till it mixes well.
  • Pour little water mix well and check the salt etc.
  • Then allow it to boil for 2 mins.
  • Pressure cook for 5-10 mins on low flame.
  • Garnish with coriander or curry leaves
