  • 1/2 kg - meat
  • 1/2 kg - brinjals
  • 2 - onions, chopped finely
  • 2 - tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp - coriander powder
  • 2 tsp - ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/2 cup - coconut paste
  • 3 tbsp - oil
  • Salt to taste.

How to Make Meat and Brinjal (Eggplant) Curry

  • Cut the brinjals into medium size pieces and soak in water.
  • Heat oil in a pan or a pressure cooker and fry the onions well.
  • Add the ginger garlic paste and saute lightly.
  • Add the tomatoes, chilli powder, turmeric powder and coriander powder and fry for some time.
  • Add the meat and coconut paste.
  • Mix well and continue frying for some time till the oil separates from the mixture.
  • Add salt and 2 or 3 cups of water and cook till the meat is tender.
  • Add the brinjals and mix well.
  • Cover and cook till the brinjals are done.
  • Serve.
