Ingredients

  • Fresh bunch of Methi - 1
  • Tomato - 2 medium size
  • Potatoes - 3 medium size
  • Garlic Ginger paste - 3 tsp
  • Chilli powder - 2 tsp
  • Dhaniya powder - 2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder
  • Garam Masala Powder (optional)
  • Jeera -1 tsp
  • Oil and Salt

How to Make Methi Aloo

  • Peel the aloo and cut into cubes.
  • Clean the methi leaves and grind into a fine paste. Heat oil and add jeera, then add the ginger-garlic paste.
  • Fry till brown, then add the tomatoes.
  • Add all the other masalas except garam masala.
  • Add the potatoes and methi paste.
  • Add about 2 cups water allow to cook on slow fire.
  • Sprinkle garam masala. Serve it hot with Rotis.
