Ingredients

  • 1 - big potato cut into small pieces
  • 1- medium onion chopped
  • 1 - medium tomato chopped
  • 1 bunch - green methi chopped
  • 1 bunch - palak (spinach) chopped
  • 1/2 tsp t- turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - red chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp - jeera powder
  • 1/2 tsp -garam masala
  • 1 clove - garlic crushed
  • 1 tsp - crushed green chilli
  • 1/2 tsp - crushed ginger
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil
  • 1 tsp - ghee

How to Make Methi palak aloo

  • Fry onion in oil until it turns light brown.
  • Add turmeric and ginger and fry.
  • Add tomato and cook until it oil separates.
  • Add chilli, garlic and other spices.
  • Mix potato and salt.
  • Cover and cook on a low flame for 1-2 mins.
  • Add 3-4 tbsp water, methi and spinach and cook uncovered on low flame till potato softens.
  • Add ghee for flavour.
  • Serve with parathas or rotis.
