  • 1.5 cups - whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup - besan
  • 1 bunch - fenugreek leaves, chopped
  • 1 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1/2 cup - yoghurt
  • 3 tbsp - oil
  • Salt to taste.

How to Make Methi Thepla

  • Sieve the wheat and gram flours into a mixing bowl.
  • Make a well in the centre and add all the ingredients except oil.
  • Mix well and add water as needed and knead it into a stiff dough.
  • Cover with a moist cloth and set aside for 15 minutes.
  • Knead the dough again and divide into walnut sized portions. Roll each one out into small rotis/ chapattis.
  • Heat a non-stick griddle and once well-heated, reduce flame to minimum.
  • Place a thepla on shallow fry both sides. Smear ghee, and serve.
