Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg - chicken breast, cut into bite size pieces
  • 2 - medium onions
  • 2 cloves - garlic
  • 1 inch length of ginger root
  • 2" stick of cinnamon
  • 4-6 cloves
  • 1 clove of cardamom
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 small plain yogurt
  • 1-2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 capsicum chopped
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp salt

How to Make Microwave Chicken Curry

  • Chop onion, garlic and ginger root into small pieces.
  • These can be put in the blender for a few seconds.
  • Mix all ingredients, including the chicken, in a large microwaveable bowl and place it in a cool place or in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  • After that, microwave it on high for 10 mins.
  • Remove container from the microwave and stir well and then put it in again for another 20 mins.
  • It's great with rice or chapattis/parathas.
