Ingredients

  • 1 cup - wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup - rice flour
  • 1/2 cup - maida
  • 1/2 cup - besan
  • 1/2 tsp - chilli powder
  • 2 tsp - sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp - cumin seeds
  • 2 tbsp - butter
  • salt to taste
  • oil to fry

How to Make Mixed Flours Chakli

  • Mix all the flours together.
  • Add chilli powder, salt, sesame seeds and cumin seeds.
  • Rub in the butter.
  • Add enough water to make a stiff paste.
  • Fill a chakli mould with some of the prepared mixture.
  • Press into 5 cm discs of concentric circles, on a sheet of plastic.
  • Transfer the discs carefully into moderately hot oil.
  • Fry on moderate flame till crisp and golden brown.
  • Use all the mixture thus.
  • Cool and store in an airtight container.
