  • 3 cups - Mixed vegetables (carrots, zucchinis, turnips, chow chow and French beans)
  • 2 - Onion (chopped finely)
  • 3 - Green chillies
  • 1 tsp - Cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tsp - Mustard seeds
  • 1/4 tsp - Urad dal
  • 1/4 cup - Rolled oats
  • Oil
  • Salt
  • 5 - Curry leaves

How to Make Mixed Veggies and Oats Thoran

  • Grind the green chillies and cumin seeds as a bit coarse paste with enough water.
  • Heat enough oil. Let it splutter. Add the mustard seeds, urad dal and curry leaves.
  • Add the mixed vegetables.
  • Saute for few minutes. Now add the grounded paste, saute for few seconds.
  • Sprinkle some water and cook everything in medium flame. Finally add the rolled oats and cook until the oil get separates from the vegetables.
  • Enjoy hot.
