Ingredients

  • Mumura - 200gs
  • Carrot, Beans, Cabbage, Peas - 1 Cup each
  • Green Chilli - 8(you may add more to your taste)
  • Onion Chopped - 1 Cup
  • Lemon Juice - 2 spoons
  • Grated fresh Coconut - 1 Cup
  • Urad dal - 1/2 tsp
  • Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Jeera - 1 tsp
  • Coriander and curry leaves - Fine Chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil - 5 to 6 tsp
  • Turmeric - 1/2 tsp

How to Make Mumura (Puri) Upma

  • Place a medium-size pan on the stove. Heat oil and splutter mustard seeds.
  • Add urad dal, green chilli, curry leaves, jeera, turmeric powder and onion.
  • Wait for 2 mins. Add all cut vegetables and fry for 10 mins.
  • Wash mumura in fresh water, drain and add to the above mixture.
  • Add lemon, salt, coriander leaves, mix thoroughly and wait for 5 mins.
  • Upma is ready.
