Ingredients

  • 12 - leftover idlis
  • 1- onion, medium sized
  • 1 - tomato
  • 1 tsp - ginger and garlic paste
  • 2 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1 tsp - cumin powder
  • 1/4 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - garam masala powder
  • 1 cup - mushroom, chopped
  • 1 cup - mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, cauliflower, green pepper, beans, potato) -
  • 2 tsp - oil
  • salt to taste

How to Make Mushroom Fried Idly

  • Cut each Idly into 9 pieces and deep fry it in oil or roast it in oven.
  • In a pan, pour 2 tsp oil and once it is heated add ginger and garlic paste fry it for a minute.
  • Then add chopped onions and fry it till it is translucent.
  • Add tomato and fry it for a minute.
  • Now add all the powders, vegetables and fry until almost done.
  • Now add mushrooms and saute it till cooked.
  • Finally add the fried Idlis and saute it for 2 mins until idlis gets all the flavours.
