  • 2 eggs hard boiled
  • 1/2 cup - grated coconut
  • 1/2 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1/4 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - coconut oil
  • A few curry leaves
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Muttai avial

  • Grind grated coconut, coriander powder and turmeric powder into a fine paste in a blender.
  • Mix this paste and salt with a cup of water and heat.
  • Quarter the eggs and add to the coconut mixture.
  • Cook till the curry thickens.
  • Heat coconut oil in a small frying pan and add the curry leaves; let them crackle.
  • Add to the curry and your avial is ready to serve.
