Ingredients

  • boneless mutton - ½ kg
  • carrots - 1 cup, cut into thick slices
  • button mushrooms - 1 cup
  • oil - 3 tbsp
  • bay leaf - 1
  • cloves - 4
  • garlic - 4 flakes
  • onion - 1, chopped roughly
  • black pepper - 1 tsp, crushed
  • mustard powder - ½ tsp
  • vinegar - 3 tbsp
  • water - ½ cup
  • cream - ½ cup
  • salt to taste

How to Make Mutton and Vegetable Stew

  • Cut mutton into 4 cm cubes.
  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker.
  • Add bay leaf, cloves, garlic and onion.
  • Fry for 2 minutes.
  • Add rest of the ingredients except the cream.
  • Pressure cook for 20 minutes.
  • Let the cooker cool for 10-15 minutes.
  • Then transfer the contents to a serving dish.
  • Stir in the cream and serve hot with crusty bread rolls.
