Ingredients

  • 6 - mutton chops
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 cloves - garlic, crushed
  • 2 tsp - dried fenugreek (Kasoori methi)
  • 2 tbsp - parsley, chopped
  • 50 g - oatmeal
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil
  • For Tomato and Coriander Salsa:
  • 1 cup - finely chopped tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup - finely chopped onions
  • 1 clove - garlic, minced
  • 1 - green chilli, deseeded and finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp - freshly chopped coriander
  • 1 tbsp - red vinegar
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Mutton Chops with Fenugreek

  • For tomato and coriander salsa:
  • Place all the ingredients except salt in a food processor.
  • Process until coarsely chopped and add salt to taste.
  • Beat the chops and flatten them.
  • Marinate in salt, pepper, garlic, fenugreek and a little oil for 5-8 hours and keep aside.
  • Combine parsley and oatmeal in a plate.
  • Dip and cover mutton chops in this mixture.
  • Heat a flat griddle (tawa), sprinkle oil and grill mutton chops on it till done.
  • Serve the chops with salsa.
