  • Besan [gram flour] - 1 cup [heaped]
  • Sugar - 2 cups [level]
  • Water - 1/2 cup
  • Ghee [pure] - 1.5 cups [liquid form]
  • Refined oil - 1 cup

How to Make Mysore paak

  • Dissolve by heating sugar in 1/2 a cup of water.
  • In a thick-bottom pan, heat ghee and oil till the spattering stops. Remove the pan from the fire, add besan and sugar syrup to the hot ghee.
  • Cook this mixture on a high flame, stirring constantly.
  • At first, the mixture will be slightly hard to stir, but keep at it till the ghee comes out.
  • At this stage, you will notice that the quantity doubles and the mixture appears to be like a honey comb. Remove from fire.
  • Spread it on a plate immediately. Cut this into desired shape and size when it is hot (after the mixture sets).
