Ingredients

  • 20-25 - Cashews
  • 10-15 - Almonds
  • 7-10 - Pistachios (un-salted)
  • 10 - Black Raisins
  • A pinch - Saffron
  • 1 - Cardamom
  • 1/4 cup - Sugar
  • 1/4 cup - Milk Powder
  • 1/4 cup - Water
  • 2 drops - Rose Essence

How to Make Navratan Dry Fruit Halwa

  • Take cashews, almonds, pistachios and grind them together.
  • Take a cup of water, 1/4 cup of sugar and boil them together.
  • Add the black raisins and the ground dry fruits to the boiling sugar syrup.
  • Keep the flame on medium and stir the mixture for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add 1/4 cup of powdered milk to the mixture. Stir for a few minutes.
  • Add some saffron, 2 drops of rose essence and one ground cardamom.
  • Let the mixture cool down. The halwa is ready. Serve it cold.
