Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg - thoor dal
  • 1/2 - fresh coconut
  • 10 -12 - green chillies
  • 1 pinch - hing
  • salt

How to Make Nucchina Unde

  • Soak tuvar dal for two hours.
  • Grind it coarsely.
  • Sprinkle little water on tuvar dal and steam cook the ground tuvar dal in a pressure cooker for 15 mins.
  • Add chopped green chillies, salt, shredded coconut and hing to the steam cooked dal. Mix it well.
  • Make small balls, arrange them in idli stand or cooker container and steam them for 10-12 mins.
  • You can serve this nucchina unde with moor kolambu or chutney.
  • This will be perfect for evening snack.
