Ingredients

  • 25 g - each of cashewnut, raisins and groundnuts
  • 25 g - each of grated jaggery and dates
  • 1 - lime sized ball of tamarind
  • 1 small piece - dry coconut
  • 1 tsp - sesame seeds (til)
  • 1 tsp - each of roasted and pounded cumin seeds and garam masala
  • salt and chilli powder to taste

How to Make Nut Chutney

  • Cover tamarind with water for 5 mins, and then strain out the juice.
  • Roast coconut and sesame seeds and grind to a paste with the rest of the ingredients, then mix into the tamarind water.
