Ingredients

  • 4 cups - rolled oats
  • 4 cups - all purpose flour
  • 2 cups - white sugar
  • 1 cup - butter
  • 1 cup - shortening
  • 1 cup - shredded coconut
  • 1 cup - lukewarm water (that has been boiled and cooled)
  • 2 tsp - baking powder
  • 1 tsp - baking soda
  • 1 tsp - salt

How to Make Oatmeal Cookies

  • Hand mix the dough. Add water and work into dough. Make dough into one-inch balls.
  • Flatten with a fork or design bottomed glass for imprint.
  • Place on greased cookie sheets and bake at 400 degrees F.
