  • 1/2 cup - oats
  • 6-10 flakes - garlic
  • 2-3 tbsp - carrot, chopped
  • 3 tbsp - tomato, chopped
  • 1 - green chilli, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp - fennel (optional) crush slightly
  • 2 tbsp - coriander leaves, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 cup - coconut, grated

How to Make Oats savoury porridge

  • Pressure cook everything with enough water (to cover the oats), except coconut for up to 2 whistles.
  • Open the cooker and mash contents well with a masher.
  • Extract milk from the coconut by grinding it with lukewarm water and squeezing out the milk.
  • Add the extracted milk to the porridge and mix well.
  • Heat through and serve hot.
