  • 2 - onions
  • 6 - red chillies
  • 3 pods - garlic
  • 1 or 2 flakes - tamarind
  • a bunch - coriander leaves
  • a bunch - curry leaves
  • oil for frying
  • salt for taste

How to Make Onion Chutney

  • Heat oil in a pan and fry the finely chopped onions along with the red chillies till they turn brown.
  • Add garlic, tamarind and fry till the garlic becomes soft.
  • Add salt and coriander leaves (more leaves, more taste) and fry till the coriander leaves become soft.
  • Cool the mixture and grind it to a paste adding a little oil.
