Ingredients

  • 1 Cup- whole green moong dal
  • 1/4 cup- Raw rice
  • 1 no- onion
  • 4-6 nos- green chillies
  • 1 tsp- jeera
  • 1 inch- ginger
  • 1/2 cup- coriander leaves
  • some curry leaves
  • salt to taste

How to Make Onion Pesarattu

  • Soak moong dal and rice in water for at least 6 hours.
  • After 6 hrs, grind everything (except curry leave) into slightly coarse batter .
  • Add curry leaves to the batter
  • Heat a tawa, make thin and crisp dosas.
  • Pesarattu is ready.
  • serve it with coconut chutney or dahi.
  • If you don't want to grind onion, you can also cut it and put later.
