  • 1 tbsp - oil - ghee
  • 1 - onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cups - cooked and cooled rice
  • 1/2 tsp - salt (or to taste)

How to Make Onion Rice

  • Heat oil in a pan or karahi on medium heat.
  • Add chopped onions and fry until deep pink colour.
  • Add cooked and cooled rice and salt to taste.
  • Mix all the ingredients well.
  • Cover with a lid and cook on a low heat for 8 minutes.
  • Open the lid and stir well continuously for 2 minutes. Serve hot.
